Cat & John
Cat and John’s wedding at Half Acre in South Melbourne was a celebration of contemporary design inspired by the serene beauty of a Kyoto forest. Set within the venue’s striking architectural spaces, the styling embraced a refined Japanese aesthetic, blending natural textures, organic forms, and understated elegance.
Drawing inspiration from Japanese gardens, the design featured a carefully curated palette of raw materials including travertine, marble, and limestone. These architectural elements were softened with lush moss installations and thoughtfully layered botanical details, creating a tranquil atmosphere reminiscent of a woodland landscape in Kyoto.
Floral design by Molly Molly Co brought the vision to life through sculptural, oriental-inspired arrangements that complemented the natural materials and architectural setting. The result was a sophisticated and immersive wedding experience that seamlessly balanced modern luxury with the timeless simplicity of Japanese design.
This Kyoto forest-inspired wedding at Half Acre South Melbourne showcased how natural stone, textural styling, and contemporary floral artistry can transform a venue into an elegant, nature-inspired celebration.
