Beginning with an intimate ceremony at the groom’s breathtaking family home, a beautifully converted convent filled with architectural character and heritage details, the day unfolded as a truly elegant celebration from beginning to end.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed garden refreshments and live entertainment surrounded by the property’s stunning grounds before continuing to one of Melbourne’s most iconic wedding venues, State Library Victoria, for an incredible reception celebration.

The reception entrance welcomed guests with custom signage by Rebel Reflect, beautifully captured by Theodore & Co. Every detail was thoughtfully designed to complement the grandeur of the venue while creating a warm and immersive guest experience. One of the standout styling moments of the evening was the dramatic custom velvet bar installation and draping by Pro Light Styling. Rich red velvet created an unforgettable focal point and luxurious backdrop within the reception space, perfectly balancing the historic architecture of the library with contemporary wedding styling.

Tom and Nicola’s reception took place within the magnificent Ian Potter Queen’s Hall at State Library Victoria, one of our favourite luxury wedding venues in Melbourne. Long banquet tables filled the space, layered with luxurious linens, velvet textures, crystal detailing, and romantic candlelight.

The tablescape styling embraced a rich and sophisticated colour palette of deep reds, warm amber tones, soft creams, and elegant gold accents. Flowing draping softened the grandeur of the hall, while crystal details and layered textures created an atmosphere that felt intimate, romantic, and refined.Bringing wedding receptions to life within the State Library is always an exciting experience.
